Traplord:
March 26, 2022-April 16, 2022
180 Studios x Sadler’s Wells, a co-production with The Factory and ALTRUVIOLET
From award winning dance artist and cultural innovator Ivan Michael Blackstock comes TRAPLORD, a dance performance meditating on life, death and rebirth. Wandering between dreams and reality, TRAPLORD takes us on a new heroic journey to self-actualisation. Using dance, theatre and spoken word to explore raw and confrontational themes of mental health and masculinity, TRAPLORD is an invitation to question the stereotyping of Black men in contemporary western society; an attempt to escape from the mental state of being condemned before having lived. Supported using public money by Arts Council England

Wes Anderson - The French Dispatch:
October 14, 2021-December 12, 2021
A Journey Through Wes Anderson’s Aesthetic at 180 Studios
With stills, costumes, and scenery from the movie, the French Dispatch exhibition at 180 Studios is a celebration of Wes Anderson’s aesthetic. The exhibition features real props, artwork, miniatures, and costumes, culminating in a working recreation of the film’s cafe, Le Sans Blague. Arranged into the layout of the films titular and fictional publication – the exhibition takes you through from the Cycling Reporter, across its Arts and Culture pages, through Politics and finishing with its Food pages in a display of the film’s (and the directors) unique aesthetic. As you go through the exhibition, you get a feel for each of the characters in their own world in the story of the film.
